Can a 2 year old have a crush?

The other day one of Ethan's friends was over playing. Ava loves when anyone comes over but I'm starting to think that she particularly likes a couple of Ethan friends. At one point, she was hanging all over this friend so I asked her to stop and the friends mom and I kind of giggled at what she was doing. Well, apparently she understood far too well and broke down crying of embarrassment for the next 10 minutes. Once we were able to console her, she proceeding to excitedly show this friend her new Barbie laptop toy. Definitely not too interesting to an almost 7 year old boy, so she was casually but gently brushed aside and this little girls face and entire body just fell. Once again, the sad and pitiful crying began. Her heart was crushed. It was all so personal to her and quite tramatic at the time. Wow! Are we in for it! Not even 3 and an emotional wreck when it comes to the opposite sex! And you say boys are hard????
