Beach Trip

For me, summer is all about trips to the beach and days spent lazily by the pool. This summer, however, can be more closely defined as "days spent lazily inside the house." It is really sad. My kids have seen far too much TV and not nearly enough excitement as we waste our days away while my "little peanut" gets his beauty rest. It has been really hard having a baby.
But...we did FINALLY make it to the beach. My parents came out to visit and they decided to brave the adventure with us. No one knew how Andrew would react to the sand and the sun...with no real nap. Mmmm...does he look happy to you? He could have done without the excursion but everyone else had a great time! It was wonderful seeing my Dad out playing...just as I remember him when I was a kid. He was definitely hurting for it later (a bit too much walking in the sand and all) but I think it may have been worth it!
